Maikel Guinart

Maikel Guinart is a Miami, Florida native who joined Wynn Solutions Group as an Adjunct Instructor in 2017 with over 20 years combined experience in the corporate, military and federal law enforcement sectors.  From 2000 thru 2004, Maikel served as a Deputy U.S. Marshal with the U.S. Marshals Service.  During his tenure, he responded to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City and provided security protection for federal judges and prosecutors during high threat trials and other assignments in various cities throughout the U.S.  Maikel also led the USMS physical fitness program in the District of Minnesota, monitoring the health, nutrition and physical fitness standards of all sworn personnel.

 

Maikel proudly and honorably served in the U.S. military for a total of ten years. Four of those years with the Naval Reserve RIA as an Intelligence Analyst and six in the United States Marine Corps as a Recon Marine in the special operations community. In 2008, Maikel served a combat tour in Iraq with 4th Force Recon Company in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).  He was responsible for protecting high-ranking military officials and dignitaries to include General John F. Kelly.

 

Since 2004, Maikel has enjoyed a distinguished career as a Special Agent (SA)/Criminal Investigator for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) division where he currently serves.  In addition to his investigative duties, he is an active member of the DHS/HSI, Miami Special Response Team (SRT) and a Defensive Tactics Instructor.

 

While assigned to DHS, Maikel has led security protection details for government executives and dignitaries.  In 2015, Maikel worked extensively with the United States Secret Service (USSS) and fulfilled the duties of Assistant Jump Team Leader during the national presidential campaign year.

 

Maikel’s certifications, schools and training include: Close Quarter Tactics Instructor, Enforcement Tactics Infantry, Recon, Airborne, SERE, Combatant Diver, USMC Sniper (pre-deployment on the job training), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Sensitive Site Exploitation Instructor (SSEI), Olive Security Training Center (OSTC) Tier-1 & 2 operator pre-deployment package.

 

Lastly, Maikel attended Florida International University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Public Administration in 2001.  He then returned to Florida International University and received a Professional Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2016.
