Cindy Sommer

CEO | Lifeline Investigations

Cindy Sommer was born & raised in Santa Maria, CA, and later moved to Lancaster, CA. She began her career in the security world at the age of 16, graduating from the Los Angeles County Sheriff Explorer Academy, and became a Deputy Sheriff Explorer. Subsequently, for the next six years, she worked in various loss prevention and site security roles before joining the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, at the age of 22, as a Deputy Sheriff.

Cindy served as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff for 16 years. During her career with the Sheriff’s Department, she became a Certified Weaponless Defense Instructor, worked various assignments in patrol, and became an expert in the area of domestic and sex crimes against women and children. She received many commendations for her service, working the Rodney King Riots, logistics, and vehicle maintenance.

While working Patrol, Cindy saw a need in the community, where children and families were not receiving services for addiction treatment and prevention. Cindy proactively gathered prominent members together and co-founded a non-profit organization called Family Resource Foundation, to address this problem. Her effective communication skills led to her taking on new roles as a lead grant writer and executive director of this non-profit organization. With collaborative partners, such as the LA County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, ABC Traffic School, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, Antelope Valley Press, and others, this organization, over the next ten years, bridged gaps and was responsible for the treatment of over 100,000 individuals and family members, resulting in a significant impact on the community.

After this chapter, Cindy went back into law enforcement, this time as a Reserve Police Officer, quickly advancing to the rank of Lieutenant in charge of Training. In 2004, while working as a Reserve Police Officer, Cindy began her career in Executive Protection. She was selected to work protection assignments with many female celebrities and diplomats in the Los Angeles area. She also served as a Security Driving Team Manager for Bill Gates in Northern California.

Cindy formed Lifeline Investigations in 2007, working on Private Investigation, Residential Security, and Executive Protection assignments. She landed a full-time contract on Prince Bandar’s Team, working with his daughter in Chicago and traveling throughout the world. Cindy was the first contracted security selected to protect the wife of the King of Saudi and has many other top-tier clients throughout the world from Saudi, UAE, and Bahrain.

Cindy is currently the CEO of Lifeline Investigations, which carries Private Investigations and Security Licenses in California, Kentucky, and Florida. Lifeline Investigations focuses on Executive and Diplomatic Protection of Royal and high-net-worth clients and private investigations. Cindy and her team are also involved in Disaster Security Response - rendering services during Hurricane Katrina, Harvey, and most recently with Hurricane Irma.
